Increase in Graduates Wanting to Work in the Green Economy

According to the Government, almost two thirds of 18–24-year-olds are interested in pursuing a career in the green economy.

We’re proud to be creating new roles each year in both the UK and South African renewables sector.

Last year we recruited 28 people, including 13 at a Graduate or intern level.

We are finding that an increasing number of graduates and students want to work for a company with strong environmental credentials.

Twinned with the fact that Arcus supports some of the most innovative renewables, engineering, and regeneration projects in the world, it is easy to see why a career with Arcus is so appealing.

Recent Environmental Graduate, Eleanor Barton says “I was drawn to work in renewable energy, because I wanted to help move our electricity generation towards a greener future, and take a step towards tackling climate change. I was told about Arcus by a friend, who also works for the company, and they highlighted the variety of work that Arcus completes, and the friendliness of the company. Over the last few months, I have found this to be true – everyone is incredibly supportive, and every day I’m learning something new that will help me and the climate in the future!”

Landscape architect graduates can also develop their careers with Arcus, focusing not just on design but on building an enviable and diverse portfolio in renewables.

Arcus has worked on more than 7GW of renewables projects worldwide and we’re at the very pinnacle of innovative thinking and new technologies.
