Leeds Beckett University – Guest Lecture

Ecology can pose big risks for developers in terms of cost, missed opportunities and program delay, which is why Arcus are keen to educate the next generation of Project Managers, Developers, Architects, Building Surveyors and Quantity Surveyors on how to avoid those risks at the onset of a project. With this in mind we are delighted that Leeds Beckett University has invited us back for a second year to give a guest lecture on ecology and development as part of their ‘Interprofessional Studies’ module in their final year of wider architecture, quantity surveying and project management degree courses.

Dr Georgiana Allison MIEMA CEnv, a Lecturer in Sustainability and Construction for Leeds Beckett University, said, “We would like to thank Arcus for providing an informative guest lecture on Ecology to our final year Built Environment students. Caroline’s talk very clearly outlined the risk of not considering ecology during the preconstruction and construction process, which the students found helpful as well as interesting as they prepare to graduate and enter professional practice”.
