Northumberland County Council has published proposed changes to its Draft Core Strategy for consultation. Northumberland has also published a Renewable Energy Supplementary Planning Document, which indicates the Council is considering identifying areas suitable for wind energy development. The consultation on both documents continues until 27th July 2016. Both documents will be used to make decision of planning applications up to 2031.

East Lindsey District Council has published its Core Strategy for consultation. The Core Strategy includes policies which
seek to restrict development in the coastal area, protection of the Lincolnshire Wolds AONB and a policy to deal with large scale renewable and low carbon energy development. The consultation on the Core Strategy will continue until 27th July 2016. It is intended that when the Core Strategy is adopted it will form part of the basis of future decision making on planning applications for development up to 2031.

North Yorkshire County Council has announced a further consultation stage in the preparation for their Joint Minerals and Waste Plan. A further Interim Preferred Options consultation is due take place in late summer 2016 prior to the Minerals and Waste Plan being submitted to the Secretary of State for Examination, later in the year.
