Visualisation – Photomontage
Arcus were awarded and prepared the LVIA visualisations (photomontages) for Culachy Wind Farm.
Culachy Wind Farm is a proposed 13-turbine development located approximately 8km south of Fort Augustus in The Highland Council region of Scotland.
Arcus were sub-contracted to complete the visualisations which incorporated wirelines, cumulative wirelines and photomontages. The visualisations had to meet both the Scottish Natural Heritage (SNH) guidelines and The Highland Council guidelines.
Photography files were supplied by the client to the Arcus visualisations team and were processed in-house. This involved stitching of the single frame images into panoramas, with cylindrical projections being used for the SNH visuals and planar projections being used for the Highland Council visuals. 17 viewpoints were used in the final submission of the Environmental Statement which included two Cultural Heritage viewpoints. The cumulative wind farm assessment included 13 sites.
All of the visualisations were produced using Resoft Windfarm software.
The huge body of work resulted in Arcus producing 167 A1 and A3 sized figures for the Landscape and Visual Impact Assessment (LVIA) element of the Environmental Statement.
