Client – Project Developer
Scope – Air dispersion modelling and assessment was carried out to assess the impact of a proposed mixed use development (circa 260 residential units and commercial space) on existing receptors and future residential receptors proposed as part of the development. The development site was adjacent to a large industrial facility with numerous point source emissions and in close proximity to an Air Quality Management Area (AQMA). An assessment of demolition and construction dust was also undertaken in accordance with the Institute of Air Quality Management (IAQM) guidance.
Modelling of a large onsite gas fired CHP was also carried out, and following advice on necessary stack height and dimensions the project design was amended to ensure the project would be compliant with air quality requirements of the planning system.
