Scope – The air quality assessment was undertaken in accordance with the local authority’s Air Quality and Emissions Good Practice Planning Guidance. A DMRB screening assessment was carried out to assess the impact of traffic emissions of a proposed residential development of circa 100 units on existing receptors and future residential receptors proposed as part of the development. An assessment of construction dust impact was also undertaken in accordance with the Institute of Air Quality Management (IAQM) guidance. The assessment demonstrated that air quality (NO2 and PM10) complied with air quality objectives, detailed modelling was not required and that poor air quality was not an obstacle to the proposed development.
