Response to Proposed Irish Planning Guidance on Noise from Wind Farms

Arcus is contributing to a consultation response to the Irish Government’s Draft Revised Wind Energy Guidelines.  The response is being prepared by a group of acousticians who act for wind farm developers, council, government bodies and residents’ groups.  The group is of the opinion that the draft guidelines contain a number of technical errors, ambiguities and  inconsistencies and that it requires further detailed review and amendment before implementation.

A holding response, Revised Wind Energy Development Guidelines, was submitted on the 20th of December and a full response will be issued in due course.

Please contact the Arcus Noise Team via 0141 221 9997 or should you wish to discuss this.

Update: the full response as submitted on the 19th of February, and can be read here.
