Troston Loch Wind Farm Application

Arcus recently prepared and submitted a Section 36 application to the Scottish Ministers on behalf of EDF Renewables for the Troston Loch Wind Farm near Moniaive, Dumfries and Galloway.  The development consists of up to 14 turbines and a battery storage facility, and would have a generating capacity in the region of 67 MW.  Arcus has been involved with the project since 2016, and were responsible for co-ordinating and preparing the EIA Report. This included a number of environmental services; specifically ecology, hydrology, cultural heritage, climate change, socio economics and noise, as well as coordinating public consultation and pre-application discussions with Dumfries and Galloway Council and the Energy Consents Unit.
