Glasgow

Arcus is recruiting an enthusiastic and talented Senior Hydrologist.  Working as part of the UK-wide Hydrology Team, the successful candidate will have a broad range of experience in supporting development projects with the skills and enthusiasm to further develop the hydrology business in Glasgow.

The Role:

  • Managing projects and coordinating complex technical documents;
  • Building on our established client relationships and projects;
  • Mentoring and reviewing outputs of team members; and
  • Providing advice to clients across a wide range of sectors.

Skills & Experience:

  • Chartered Membership of CIWEM, or working towards chartership;
  • Experienced in EIA projects and Water Quality Monitoring / Construction Management;
  • Ability to work within multidisciplinary teams;

We are recruiting for an enthusiastic Graduate Hydrologist to support the delivery of Water Quality Monitoring programmes across Scotland through carrying out field surveys and desk studies.

The Role:

  • Collating data through carrying out field surveys and conducting desk studies;
  • Preparing technical documents and reports;
  • Supporting the Hydrology Team with business development;
  • Calibration of technical equipment; and
  • Support of Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) delivery.

Graduate Landscape Architect

Glasgow or York

Our Landscape Architecture Team is looking for a talented Graduate Landscape Architect. The role is available in York or Glasgow.  This is an exciting opportunity for someone looking to develop their career as a Landscape Architect, working on an extremely diverse range of projects.

The Role:

  • Prepare, and support the production of hard and soft landscape designs;
  • Prepare hand drawn or computer-generated landscape visuals and graphics / presentations;
  • Support the production of Landscape and Visual Impact Assessments; and
  • Work with colleagues on a range of local, regional and national scale projects.

Skills & Experience:

  • Degree or diploma in Landscape Architecture;
  • 0-3 years’ post qualification experience;

The Role:

  • Site assessment and spatial analysis;
  • Production of high-quality maps for all aspects of projects and proposals;
  • Support in the management of project Geographic Data;
  • Provide GIS support to Project Managers and members of the Environment Team;

Skills & Experience:

The Role:

  • Manage complex multidisciplinary EIA Projects;
  • Manage EIA delivery and provide specialist support in HRA process;
  • Support relevant offshore and onshore work packages;
  • Support Head of Development in developing the business and winning work; and

The Role:

The Role:

  • Preparing reports including Environmental Statement chapters and technical reports;
  • Air dispersion modelling and assessment; and

Skills & Experience:

  • Working towards or ideally chartered for the senior role with CILT or CIHT;
  • A strong grasp of transportation engineering;
