Ecological/Environmental Clerk of Works Required (Sub-Contracted or Employed)

We are looking for an experienced Ecological/Environmental Clerk of Works (ECoW) to work on construction projects in Scotland.  The work will be mainly site based and may require periods away from home.  Working outside office hours, as well as at multiple sites and on other projects, is to be expected.

Demonstrable ECoW experience is essential, ideally on wind farms or other large-scale infrastructure projects, and the candidate must have a thorough understanding of legislation and best practice relevant to the range of ecological and environmental sensitivities likely to be encountered.  Such understanding should include materials and surface water management, survey methods for a range of species and habitats, knowledge of construction and forestry techniques and their likely impacts, and mitigation measures.
