We have been appointed by Beatrice Offshore Wind Farm Ltd (BOWL) since 2011 to provide EIA consultancy support to the Beatrice Offshore Wind Farm Project. The first application for an offshore wind farm located in Scottish Territorial Waters, this is a 1GW development located in the Moray Firth.
We supported the BOWL development through the provision of a secondee to the consenting team, EIA Coordination and strategic EIA advice, and continues to provide post-submission support including a dedicated marine mammals coordinator to assist with this particularly complex issue. Arcus has provided specialist advice with regard to coordinating and advising on the Habitats Regulations Assessment for the project.
Offshore wind developments are complex EIA submissions requiring assessments to allow for flexibility in consenting, whilst presenting a robust assessment in line with the EIA Regulations. Since appointment on the project, Arcus has approached all issues with our company wide approach to successful project delivery and a high quality output.
We are also the EIA Coordinators for the onshore infrastructure elements of the project.
