Transport Design Supplementary Planning Document for the Peak District

Arcus has been commissioned by the Peak District National Park Authority to prepare a Transport Design Supplementary Planning Document that will provide guidance on the design of transport infrastructure, so it is in keeping with the statutory purposes and special qualities of the National Park.

The production of the Supplementary Planning Document will be a collaborative approach with highways authorities, and other transport providers and users. When the Supplementary Planning Document is adopted, anticipated in early 2017, it will be afforded significant weight as a material planning consideration in the determination of planning applications and will be used more generally in the  design and installation of transport infrastructure in the National Park. Our expertise in planning, transport, landscape and strategic environmental assessment will be utilised in the production of the document.
